We met Garry and Bob at a restaurant at the mid-way point between their house and ours for dinner last Saturday evening. Lots of good talk, wine, and excitement about getting closer to our flight to Rome. We discussed shore excursions, they shared some of their experiences on the Solstice, the sister ship to Equinox and we all shared stories. Lots of stories. AND Garry brought us pins with the Logo of our Cruise Critic Roll Call group - a very large group of members who are all sailing with us out of Rome. Unfortunately for them, they are NOT staying at the Agristurismo with us :)
Also had a looong telephone conversation with Joan and we decided to book some of the same shore excursions as she and George booked. Imagine this - we're going to do a Camel Ride while on Lazarote in the Canary Islands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUIEg4VULkc...much more about this after the fact!

Sure wish we lived close enough to our
ReplyDeleteTuscany buddies to have a glass of wine over a chatty dinner of pre-trip plans. Ah well, we enjoy reading about everyone getting so excited (as are we) about this great trip. We're also on the camel adventure. Still not sure about the "takeoff and landing" of these creatures, but it is sure to be a kodak moment with many laughs! Tom agrees...but Pat posted!
