Sooooo Excited. Two weeks from this evening, we'll be onboard our Lufthansa flight leaving for Rome. We look forward to meeting our group at our Rome airport hotel and being transported to lovely Arezzo the next morning (when, hopefully, we'll have recovered a bit from the time change).
We're in the midst of planning our day excursions - currently planning the one to Florence where, among other sights, we'll visit the Uffizzi Gallery - the world's largest collection of Italian Renaissance art. Art and I were unable to see the Gallery on our first trip to Florence, so it's a highlight sight for us this time. Since parking is non-existent - in fact illegal for non-residents - in the central city (Centro), the choices are either taking the train from Arezzo or parking outside of the city.
Today's my day to put together all of our travel materials and sending our travel itinerary to our family. And, of course, this is the week for last minute shopping (like there are no stores in Italy :))
