Awakened to another sunny, cool day. Since we were not disembarking here, we had breakfast and went to the Gym..after the treadmill and some free weights, we decided to cancel our pass to the Persian Garden area that we tried yesterday – just didn’t think it was worth the money. Then we lounged by the indoor pool near the AquaSpa – reviewing the pictures from Tuscany, Barcelona and Aix. Lunch in the AquaSpa Cafe – healthy food for a change and quite good.
One of the daily perks of being at the Elite level in Celebrity’s Captain’s Club is that we can go to the SkyLounge for free drinks from 4-6 PM each day. They serve wine, beer, Appletinis and regular Martinis so it’s perfect for us. we have renewed friendships with many people that we have met on previous cruises and enjoyed catching up with Sharyn and John and meeting their friends. Also spent some time with Brenda and Jim and met many of the Cruise Critics from our Roll Call.
Tonight was the first formal night and we finally had a meal with a lovely couple from the south of England – Sylvia and Gordon. Still don’t know if the 3rd couple will be joining us, but it looks like our foursome with make for a good dining arrangement. After dinner, we went to the first major show – it was a variety show with very talented singers and dancers – after a brief stop at the Casino where we lost the requisite $10 – big gamblers that we are….we were done for the day.
