First night touring Rome at night

After our nap, we went to the hotel lobby to look for our friends...all were early as we were and we had a grand reunion with Joanie and George, Garry and Bob, and met Pat and Tom. We had a lovely dinner (including our first pasta meal in Italy) with lots of wine, talk and fun). Phil came just as we finished dinner after his flight from England - almost a local flight! At 8 PM Remo came to take us on a tour of Rome by night. It was a few hours of driving by the sights, getting out to take lots of pictures. We had a wonderful stop at the Trevi Fountain to toss our coins in to make sure that we get to come back to Rome. It must work because we did this on our last trip to Italy and HERE WE ARE. And most importantly, we had our first Gelato - chocolate and coffee for me and Chocolate Mint for Art. We lost our friends, who, unbeknownst to us went to a different Gelateria. Remo and Phil had Pizza since neither had eaten dinner. After a few more stops, we headed back to the hotel for a delicious night's sleep.
